Our Professional Services
Wash and Dry
Deep cleaning and conditioning shampoo or we can use a special skin shampoo such as medicated or hypoallergenic.
Use a high-velocity dryer to get out the water and any dry skin still left. Finish with a warm blowing stand dryer for fluffing up the coat.
Combing and Brushing
We use a variety of brushes, like slickers and de-shedding combs. It depends on your dog's type of hair and coat condition.
Nail Trim and Ear Cleaning
The dog's nails and ears are done at every visit. We cut and grind the dog's nails for a smooth round edge and we pluck the hair and gently clean the ears out with a medicated ear cleaner.
Clipping
When the dogs come in for there visit we discuss with the owner the type of hair cut they are looking for and then we make sure the condition of the coat is good. If the dog is matted then we discuss trimming the dog down to avoid injury. I use clippers and scissors to do this.
Note: The clippers we use are quiet so the pets don’t get scared from the sound.
Dematting and Deshedding
When a dog comes in and they haven't been groomed for a long time chances are they will have to be trimmed right down. This means taking the dog's hair down to almost the skin. This is a worst-case scenario. The dogs should be groomed every 8-10 weeks to avoid mating of the coat.
Special Services
When your dog is older their needs become more apparent. We make sure the pets are in good health so we can assess there needs and what type of service is appropriate. In some cases, it is best that the owners stay and help with the grooming procedure. Doing this can help alleviate your pet's anxiety and make the experience more positive.
